DSHA 2023: Asupa Gets Lavish Entertainment As He Declares For Burutu North Delegates

The re-election bid of Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly gets a major boost earlier today as he declared his intention to return  back to the house come 2023 before the Burutu North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates. 

While declaring his intention before the Burutu North delegates in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State at the Peemos Hotel in Warri ahead of the PDP primaries, Delta State, Hon. Forteta had appreciated all the delegates for turning up. 

While speaking to the delegates during the declaration, Asupa said a vote for him is a vote for prosperity, stressing that his second coming will no doubt be laced with more development in Burutu North. 

In his words: “I want to appreciate the Burutu North PDP delegates for their massive turn out and I want to assure you all that I will not dissapoint you, I have never disappointed you before and never will I do so now.

“A vote for me is a vote for prosperity, I always maintain relationship, if you see Burutu local Government  today and even the state, you will see my people all over. I really want to leave a legacy that will stand the test of time even when I must have left the office. 

“I promise you that you will never regret ever voting for me. I am a practical person, I will never deceive you. A new and better Burutu is coming, Burutu North will no doubt take its desired place in the next political dispensation. 

“I may have performed well with this administration but by his grace, what I will do in the next administration will shock all of you, it is going to be great for our own good.”

Earlier, Mr. Ignatius Ziakegha, Special Adviser to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State on Niger Delta Affairs (Braced Commission Amnesty) had charged the delegates to vote for Hon. Asupa, adding that Forteta is a sure bet for the development of Burutu North. 

According to him: “People should be judged based on their capacity and performance while in office, Asupa has operated as a commissioner, a position he used in transforming several communities constituting Burutu Local Government and beyond. Asupa is an executive legislator, as a legislator, he influences the Governor and gets what he wants to better his people and communities. 

“I am a political product of Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, I will continue to owe him in high esteem, whenever you have a deal with Asupa, he always deliver on his promises. 

The Burutu Internal Road Projects, Modern market, Construction of Oviri-Aloba-Egodor-Agbodobiri Asphalt projects and several others are all influenced by Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta. I am very proud of him”. Ziakegha stated. 

Vice Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Combolous  Ikisah, Barr. Isa Clark, Rt. Hon.  Spencer Takeme, Leader of Burutu Legislative House, Hon. Clarke Akpoerebo  have all  urged the Burutu North delegates to vote Asupa, stressing that his performance over the years has been overwhelming, adding that Asupa should be returned for the good of the Burutu people. They passionately appealed to the delegates to vote Asupa for the good of all.

High point of the declaration was the blessing and special prayer session for Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta and the Peemos Hotel Hall in Warri was filled to its maximum capacity. 

Meanwhile, as part of his Easter package to the Burutu North PDP delegates, a sixty thousand naira (#60,000,00) cash was dolled out to each of the delegates in Burutu North. 

Some of the dignitaries that constituted the high table include, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme, Chairman Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta South Senatorial District, Hon. Ebike Oromoni, PDP Chairman, Burutu Local Government Area, Sir Ignatius Ziakegha, Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Niger Delta Affairs (Braced Commission Amnesty), Chief (Hon) Combolous Ikisah, Vice Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Spencer Takeme, Leader of Burutu Local Government Legislative House, Barr. Isa Clark, Mr. Richard Tuedon and others too numerous to mention.
