Youths of Egbema and Gbaramatu Kingdoms in Warri North and South West Local Government Areas of Delta state have dismissed reports that it apologiesed to management of Egbema and Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation, EGCDF over recent protest. The Liberator Newspapers can report.

The group through a statement issued by one of it’s  leader Comrade Shadrach Onitsha on Thursday and made available to the Liberator Newspaper noted that the claim of apology was not true.

Onitsha said that what happened at the meeting of the youths and EGCDF was purely an agreement by  stakeholders to continuously engage the leadership of the two groups to further articulate better ways of handling the said demands.

While berating the management of EGCDF for misleading the public on the outcome of the meeting and being insincere with facts  they   said “we also make bold to say that, EGCDF has not just shown to the world how insincere they are using their negotiation power but also to the security personnels  who were present in the meeting how incompetent the EGCDF is”

Explaining further what transpires at the meeting, he said “during the meeting we said the protest was to draw the attention of the leadership of the EGCDF to some issues of concern, which we succeeded with”

He also stated that both groups have resolved that the leadership of EGCDF should as a matter of necessity apologies to the youths of both kingdoms for misinforming the general public.

Recall that the youths had  last week staged a peaceful protest at the office of EGCDF in Effurun demanding end to marginalisation and non inclusion of youths  in the scheme of things.
