Deputy leader of the Egbesu Brotherhood, Priest Ellington Bakumor has called for the urgent  sack of the National Security Adviser to  President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing him of sabotaging the Amnesty Programme and Niger Delta developmental agencies for his  personal gains.

The priest made the call via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.

Bakumor asserted that since president Muhammadu Buhari has appointed other service chiefs which according to him is a right step in the right direction, he maintained that the National security adviser must be sacked and a fresh capable hand be brought in to give useful and result oriented advice in the fight against insecurity across the country.

“We also call on the Buhari led Government to as a matter of Urgency institute the substantive board of the Nddc and also a permanent Amnesty Boss instead of an acting one as we feel that certain elements within the Buhari led administration Led by the NSA Babagana Mungono are using the current state of the amnesty office and the Nddc to loot more resources of the Ijaw people and Niger delta  at large , at the expense of the common man , people are getting extremely frustrated, the state of the country is too fragile security wise for another unrest to happen in the Niger Delta region .

“We also express worry over the continuous systematic witch-hunt of Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo that after winning a case his assets remain withheld by the federal Government through the Efcc , leaving thousands who survive themselves and their families through Tompolo and his company impoverished, jobless and frustrated, this is beyond Political witch-hunt, this is wickedness of the highest Order and this is sending more wrong signals to the people of the Niger delta about this Government and May lead to unrest in the region and many Youths May in no time use legal means of protest to begin to express ourselves which may affect revenue.

“I am ashamed and also deeply worried about current events bedeviling the Ijaw nation, as we seem to be plunging into a more confused state , personal political interest has overwhelmed us , we have failed to see how we can harness the power of the Unity of our diversity in Political affiliation, we have forgotten brotherhood and the common collective interest of making Ijaw great, we have failed continuously to speak in one voice hence we have been robbed too many times .

“We are calling on the Government to proactively do the needful as a matter of urgency.”
