As Ogulagha, Sokebolou welcomes Pondi with cultural troupes

Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Burutu Federal Constituency, House of representatives, Abuja, Hon. Julius Pondi has assured the people of Ogulagha community, headquarters of the kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area that he will prioritise the dredging and piling of the waterfront.

Hon. Pondi gave the assurance yesterday at Ogulagha community during the ward 11 unit to unit campaign tour.

Pondi, the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of representatives has also promised the people that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB center in the community will be operational soon.

However, the federal lawmaker had tasked the people of Ogulagha kingdom to massively vote for Atiku/Obi for presidency; Sen. James Manager for senate; Hon. Pondi for House of representatives, Burutu Federal Constituency and Hon. Asupa Forteta, for Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly.

He had hinted the people that voting for all the aforementioned candidates are important, stressing that they are all working as a team.

He continued, “If all members of this team succeeds, Ogulagha kingdom and indeed the entire Burutu Federal Constituency where I am representing now will become a paradise. At the federal level, Atiku has the capacity to fix Nigeria in becoming a great nation again”.

He had however, described the governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as a wonderful man in development, adding that his leadership qualities are overwhelming.

On his part, Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State on Conflict Resolution, Amb. Shedrack Agediga has described Okowa as a man of the people that has Ogulagha Kingdom at heart.

He had particularly lauded the governor for the 19Km road project connecting Sokebolou, Yokiri, Obotobo I and Obotobo II communities in Ogulagha Kingdom.

Agediga had averred that such high profiled development was not visible to the people of Ogulagha kingdom since the creation of Delta state as a political entity.

The workaholic SA had also commended the governor for appointment Ogulagha sons into his administration as SAs and SSA, stressing that Ogulagha will not think twice before giving a bloc vote to the PDP in all the elections.

Nevertheless, Apst. (Dr) Godspower Tomone, chairman of the ward 11 campaign team had carpeted president Mohammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Tomone had stated that the Buhari led APC government had swept away all the wealth of Nigeria to Godknows where, adding that there is need to remove the APC from power to avoid further poverty, hardship, starvation, hunger and strange occurrences.

Meanwhile, in what added more colour to the entire campaign, the people of Sokebolou and Ogulagha had prepared unmatchable cultural troupes to entertain Pondi, the PDP family and other dignitaries present.

At Sokebolou, the cultural troupe at some point, became dramatic as it pulled the entire gathering into some emotional quagmire, it was so scintillating as the high table could not bear it as they jingorate to the rhymes of the lyrics.

It would be recalled that Pondi was ushered into the Sokebolou community town hall with royalty, he was decorated and a traditional red carpet was laid for him to walk on, a gesture many have described as an uncommon virtue.

The Liberator can report that Pondi was shown real love by the people of Ogulagha Kingdom yesterday.

The communities visited yesterday were Sokebolou, Yokiri, Obotobo I, Obotobo II, Youbebe, Ogulagha, Okuntu, Awalagbene and others that had converged at Ogulagha for the grand finale.
