Elections: Common Men Assembly hails Pondi on electoral victory
A Niger Delta based group, operating under the auspices of Common Men Assembly, CMA has congratulated Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Abuja on his sweeping victory at the polls.
This was contained in a press statement issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, signed by its national leadership Jude Angodideke, a medical practitioner, chairman and Hon. Amu Itoto, secretary, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
The statement had particularly described the electoral victory of Pondi during the Saturday’s elections in Burutu Federal Constituency as sweeping and a reward from the constituents for his impressive performances over the years.
It would be recalled that the CMA is a conglomerate of friends that have decided to come together with a view of bringing the friendship closer in its unique way.
However, the group had assured the people of Burutu Federal Constituency that the choice of returning Pondi to the House of representatives is a noble one, stressing that the national lawmaker will reciprocate by doing the needful.
The duo of Jude and Amu had noted that members of the group are happy with the victory of Pondi, hence the congratulatory message even though the CMA is not purely a political body.
The Liberator can report that the Common Men Assembly has a tradition of always coming together by way of building the friendship at the end of every year which comes inform of a get together and it is usually done in one of the most reigning hotels in Warri.
Meanwhile, members of the group are both politicians, medical doctors, business men, Engineers with host of others that spread across the Niger Delta region.
