Elections: Gbenekama congratulates Okowa/Otuaro, Manager, Pondi, Ereyitomi, Guwor, others on victories

The Delta State Coordinator for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Comr. Truston Gbenekama has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his deputy Deacon (Barr) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro on the governorship polls in Delta.

Comr. Truston had also congratulated Sen. James E. Manager, senator representing Delta South senatorial district; Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, JP, member elect, Warri Federal Constituency, house of representatives; Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu federal constituency, house of representatives; Mr. Emomotimi Guwor, member elect, Warri South West; Delta State House of Assembly; Mr. Emmanuel Sinebe, member elect, Patani constituency, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, member elect, Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly; Mr. Pullah Ekpotuayerin, member elect, Burutu South, Delta State House of Assembly and other Ijaws that are elected into various positions in the state and beyond on their victories during the just concluded elections.

The environmental rights activist issued the congratulatory message yesterday in Warri to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

While reacting to their victories, Gbenekama had also tasked the victorious members to use their good offices to allay the fears of the Ijaw people across the state.

He had particularly noted that, with the contributions of the aforementioned in their own little ways, the Ijaws in Delta will improve more than the way it is before the next political dispensation.

The rights activist had further maintained that he believes that the victorious members are all members with impeccable characters, adding that he has no iota of doubt in him that they will deliver in their various mandate.

However, Truston had described Okowa and his deputy Otuaro as tested and trusted leaders that have done so much for the growth and development of Delta State during their first administration.

Meanwhile, he had urged them to do more during their second tenure, just as he expressed confidence on them that they would do better.

It would be recalled that Comr. Truston Gbenekama is the Coordinating Secretary of Odidi Central Communities Development Foundation (OCCDF) in Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State.
