While commending Okowa on his victory, the Gbekebo field marshal had stated that political figures like Okowa are rare in the Nigerian politics, stressing that the visible transformation of Delta State into an enviable place make his re-election very easy as he has worked so hard for it.

He had however, alerted Deltans to be ready for more development, adding that the governor will be more rugged on development during his second term.

According to him, while Ekwueme, the road master and the empowerment guru will be doing justice in the administration of the state, by continuously spreading development across all nooks and crannies of the state, the Delta State 7th Assembly on the other hand to which Asupa, Pullah, Guwor, Sinebe will be part of, will also contribute their quota in the legislative chamber.

Alapala had expressed confidence that Delta state will be balanced politically with more development spreading to the riverine Ijaw communities across the state with Okowa/Otuaro at the helms of affairs.

It would be recalled that Odumalagba contested the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primaries to represent Burutu North Constituency, Delta State House of Assembly but could not make it through.
