A youth leader in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Endoro Neworld has tasked His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to mobilise contractor handling the Ogulagha/Odimodi Road project to site. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The call was made yesterday during a visit to Odimodi community in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State while inspecting the delapidating state of things in the road.

Comr. Neworld Endoro said “despite the approval of the road project, it is sad that this is almost going to a year now since the road was awarded and approved by the Delta State Government under Okowa, i regretted that up till now while the Governor has been moving from place to place commissioning projects and inspecting ongoing projects in the state, nothing tangible is said or done about the Odimodi/Ogulagha road project inspites of its peculiarity.

He noted that the Ogulagha/Odimodi project is very important in the life of the two communities, stressing that considering the economic and political contributions of the said communities to the Nigerian state and that of the Delta State Government,  Governor Okowa would have made concerted effort to fix the road almost immediately after the approval and award of the project.

Endoro had charged Governor Okowa not to play politics with the all important road project, adding that the two communities wants to see the immediate commencement and completion of the road project.

The youth leader had called on Governor Okowa to prioritise the road project, wondering on why is it difficult to mobilise the contractor to site when there are other bigger and similar projects ongoing across the state with the exception of the Odimodi/Ogulagha road project.
