Environmentalist Magada Congratulates Tonlagha On Appointment, Hail Buhari, Sylva

A Niger Delta based environmentalist, Mr. Franklin Magada, Executive Director, Niger Delta Eco Monitors  has congratulated Capt. John Tonlagha on his appointment as Executive Commissioner, Health, Safety, Environment and Community of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NNPC Limited. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The Executive Director  had particularly appreciated His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment, describing it as a rare gift to Niger Deltans to begin the year 2022.

Speaking further, Magada had also thanked Chief Timipre Sylva, Petroleum Minister for facilitating the appointment, stressing that he is a worthy leader in Niger Delta. 

The environmentalist issued the congratulatory message to newsmen in Warri on Wednesday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide. 

The statement reads below:

The Niger Delta Eco Monitors, is a regional community based non-governmental organization (NGO) with the aim of safeguarding the Niger Delta environment, piloted by environmental health and safety professionals. Through its Executive Director, Environmentalist Franklin D. Magada congratulates Captain. John Tonlagha on his appointment as Executive Commissioner, Health, Safety, Environment and Community, of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NNPC Limited. 

Tonlagha’s appointment is well deserving, due to his in-depth wealth of experience in the past years in the Nations Exploration and Production(EP) industry and knowledge of environmental challenges faced by host communities. Hence we have no doubt that Captain. John Tonlagha will definitely perform well to the admiration of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large. 

We thank President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) and H.E Timipre Sylva for the appointment of Captain. John Roland Tonlagha, which is a well deserving position, based on his EP industry background and community knowledge and we are  certainly confident that he will deliver fully. 

While in the mood of congratulations, we also  urge Captain. John Tonlagha to take his appointment as a call to service, to save the already persistent degraded Niger Delta environment by crude oil exploration companies In a way of formulating extradite environmental compliance standards, monitoring to preserve biodiversity and environmental restoration of the Niger Delta through the Petroleum Industry Acts(PIA) Environmental Remediation Fund.
