In what is fast becoming a talk of the town in Warri, Delta State, Comr. Fanti Covenant and Comr. Coded Buku have embroiled themselves on a banter of words over who becomes victorious in the fast approaching P-Lawuru 2019 food contest.

While Fanti is said to be representing the Niger Delta Comrades, Buku, an Ijaw fast emerging musical gazelle is alleged to be representing the Ijaw musicians for the food contest.

However, the duo had all bragged in their different speeches during the Pep-Talk at the Kotokoto mansion of Hon. Simeon Bebenimibo, Chief Judge of the P-Lawuru 2019 food contest in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State yesterday in the presence of the Chief Sponsor of the contest, Alaowei Prince Promise Lawuru over who takes the day.

It would be recalled that while Comr. Fanti is hopeful that Buku is not skilled enough to challenge him in a cooking contest, Buku on the other hand had vowed that Fanti is of no match for him.

The public is now waiting to see who finally becomes the winner on the day of the programme. It was learnt that the winer will be smiling home with 100,000 cash and an android phone worthing another 100, 000.

Meanwhile, the chief sponsor of the P-Lawuru food contest, Alaowei Prince Promise Lawuru had promised Niger Deltans of a better packaging for the 2020 edition of the contest, maintaining that the unity of Ijaws remains his major target.

He had particularly proposed a car gift for whoever that wins the 2020 edition of the P-Lawuru food contest.

The Liberator can report that Lawuru is a Niger Delta based freedom fighter, a philanthropist, a security chieftain of the Delta State Government as Head of Operations, Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee.

He is the president general, Egbema brotherhood, a socio cultural group formed primarily to advance the political rights,  yearnings and aspirations of the Egbema people and Niger Delta at large.

On his part, Hon. Simeon Bebenimibo had while educating the competitors on the contest had promised Niger Deltans to be fair throughout the process, adding that he is pleased with the antecedents of Lawuru, stressing that the Delta State Security chieftain will go far in life owing to his philanthropic gestures.

Speaking further, Hon. Bebenimibo had also supported the P-Lawuru 2019 food contest with 50, 000 to augment the organization of the programme.

According to Amb. Yerinmene Salaco Jnr, national coordinator of the Izanzan Intellectual Camp who is coordinating the food contest as delegated by the chief sponsor, Lawuru had eulogised the personality of Prince Promise, emphasizing that men like him are rare in the Niger Delta.

In giving a further breakdown of the food contest, Amb. Salaco had stated that the event will take place on Thursday 4th of April 2019 beside Kepas in Udu Local Government Area, Delta State.

Nevertheless, The Liberator can report that the 2019 edition of the P-Lawuru food contest will be the second edition of the contest with remarkable improvements from the 2018 maiden edition.

As of now, Obiri Wenebokefe Jonathan, a legal fellow is the defending champion of the P-Lawuru food contest, haven defeated his challenger, Hon. (Comr) Famous Belief Wonikiri-ebi in the 2018 contest.

However, Hon. Simeon had lavishly entertained the comrades with whatever one can think of as the Pep-Talk later turned out to be a celebration galore at his expensively built mansion.
