The Ogulagha Kingdom Structure of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) has called on the management of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and other leaders in the area to wade into the massive protest ongoing at the Forcados Terminal by the Ogulagha youths before it dovetailed into something else.

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri earlier today signed by Comr. Samuel Ebiarede Uyadongha, Chairman, IYC, Ogulagha Kingdom and Comr Keneware Emmanuel, Information Officer, IYC, Ogulagha Kingdom, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

The IYC had called on SPDC to harken to the demands of the youths, stressing that enough is enough.

The statement reads below:

Protest: Ogulagha Kingdom IYC Boils, Call On SPDC, Leaders To Do The Needful Now

The Ogulagha Kingdom Structure of the Ijaw Youth Council IYC, has vibrated on the ongoing protest rocking Ogulagha community as a result of the age long marginalisation, sacking of workers and indefinite closure of the terminal gate.

They protested that they have made several calls to ensure that the gate be open and the sack workers be restored but to no avail.

Now the Youths are tired and has taken it upon themselves. We immediately call on SPDC, stakeholders and leaders of the Community and Kingdom to wade into the issue and let the needful be done without further delay.

The Youths are the future of every community, therefore, not yielding to the Youths is a call for problem.

We therefore, throw our weight behind the Youths and urge that the necessary demands be met.
