Gbegha commends Takeme’ s consultation tour, advocates grassroot inclusiveness

A Peoples Democratic Chieftain and grass root politician in Burutu Local government Area, Delta State Comr. Solomon Gbegha has commended the party’s Delta South chairman, Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme for his purposeful leadership style and effort towards building bridges across members in the zone.

Comr. Gbeha gave the commendation in an exclusive interview with The Liberator Newspaper yesterday.

Gbeha decsribed the ongoing consultative tour embarked upon by Takeme’s led exco as a right step in the right direction towards building a stronger and more formidable PDP in Delta South.

The PDP chieftain noted that Takeme is a man of the people with an unbeatable track record of honesty whose ability to mobilise grassroot support is not in doubt.

He however urged Tekeme to sustain the tempo at which he is going in the running of the party, and also ensure that the ongoing consultations did not die at the level, but should be succeeded by actions reflective of the good advice garnered from stakeholders in the course of the tour.

He advice Takeme and his team to extend the consultation to the grassroot by giving the masses the opportunity to make imputes in the affairs of the party, stressing that the real power belongs to the people.

While commending governor Okowa for the elevation of Takeme to the position of a zonal party chair, he solicited for more appointment from the senatorial district and called on the people of the area to support his administration for more democratic dividends.

Gbeha also used the medium to felicitate with honourable members of the state House of Assembly on their victory at the last general election and recent elevations in the Delta State House of Assembly standing committees chairpersons.

They are Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, member representing Warri South West Local Government Area, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, member representing Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly and Pullah Ekpotuayerin, member representing Burutu South, Delta State House of Assembly.

It should be recalled that Chief Takeme has been having marathon consultations with critical stakeholders of the party with a view of getting their support to enable the party retain its dominance in the zone.
