Gen Ogbegbe Releases Powerful Statement To FG, Governors, Companies In Niger Delta

Self styled Gen. Ogbegbe Tomone, popularly known as Niger Delta Dragon and Torubebeike 1 has released a powerful statement to the Federal Government of Nigeria, Niger Delta Governors, oil companies operating in the area as well as federal agencies to prioritise the development of the region. 

This was contained in a statement personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri earlier today by Gen. Ogbegbe Tomone, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide while celebrating his birth anniversary. 

The statement had particularly called on all sons and daughters of Ijaw nation to imbibe the spirit of unity, stressing that the strength of Ijaws lies in her unity and love among themselves. 

Ogbegbe had charged Ijaw sons not to betray one another, adding that the issues bedeviling the Ijaw ethnic nationality in the Nigerian state are too much for them to betray themselves. 

However, the Niger Delta Dragon particularly called on His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State to urgently look into the situation of Age community in Kou Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, adding that the gigantic tidal waves are threatening the continued survival and existence of the community. 

He therefore, called on Governor Douye Diri to commence arrangements toward piling of Age community to prevent it from washing aware, stressing that the Bayelsa State Government and companies operating in the area should work on piling of the community. 

Speaking further, Torubebeike 1 also called on His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State to continue to bring more development to Okibou Zion in Kou Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. 

Nevertheless, Gen. Ogbegbe had accused multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region of not living up to their corporate social   responsibilities with their host communities, adding that companies must take care and develop their host communities for the sustenance of peace. 

While marking his birth anniversary, Ogbegbe had commended the productive leadership qualities of Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives and Amb. Dr. Comr. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC for their good deeds towards humanity. 

Meanwhile, the former Niger Delta warlord had also congratulated His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. Joseph  I. Timiyan (JP), Agbonu !, Torububo I, the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on his 16 years on the throne, wishing him many more years ahead marked with unprecedented development and all  around prosperity.
