Good news: SAF to empower women through loan worthing millions of naira

As part of its human capacity building, a leading Nigeria based Non Governmental Organisation, Shedrack Agediga Foundation, SAF has set up mechanism to empower women of the region with loan worthing millions of naira for qualified entrepreneurs.

According to Pst. Seimode Idowu, chairman of programmes, Shedrack Agediga Foundation, SAF who made the disclosure to newsmen earlier today on behalf of its Chairman, Amb. Shedrack Agediga in Warri, he maintains that the NGO is set to register women for entrepreneurship training in various sectors of interest in order to qualify them for the much sort after AGSMIES CBN funds, The Liberator can report.

Pst. Seimode maintains that the qualification of an entrepreneur for this loan is predicated upon a certification from an accredited enterprise development institute, noting that the loan is targeted at qualified entrepreneurs for a facility up to 10 million naira without collateral, and will be payable in 7 years.

“The need for women empowerment in our society cannot be overemphasized, hence SAF has continued to embark on the journey of human capital and socio-economic development of the Nigerian citizenry to ensure its contribution to the development of women through registering them in an accredited institute to qualify them for the loan after four days of intensive workshop training.” Idowu stated on behalf of SAF.

Meanwhile the leadership of SAF had enjoined women particularly from the Niger Delta region to take advantage of the training in order to fully maximise its potentials to face the dynamics of society.

Idowu made the assertion while unveiling the program in Warri, adding that the foundation is poised towards ensuring that all efforts are channelled towards conscious human capital development through trainings and empowerment programmes.

It would be recalled that SAF had over the years operated in the Niger Delta Region, assisting the needy and carrying out many life transforming programmes, at the fore front of preaching peace and other activities in the Niger Delta and beyond.
