An Organisation operating under the aegis of Niger Delta for Peace and Good Governance Group (NDPGGG) has given compelling reasons why it bestowed on Amb. Dr. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC ) and Chairman of the Shedrack Agediga foundation a tripartite award. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The reasons as presented by National Coordinator of the organization Comrade Fiawei E. Pathfinder reads below:

It is no longer news about the greatness of an achiever who has been a patriotic son of Delta State and Niger Delta region whom we in Niger Delta Advocate for Peace and Good Governance Group, NDAPGGG, holds in very high esteem because of the indelible impact you have made over the years in the lives of the people of Ogulagha Kingdom.

Being an Ambassador of Peace is a rare virtue that one can find in many people because the world today is full of persons who have taken to violence, oppression, and intolerance, but your distinctive and uncommon elements stands you out because you are a Pillar and an Epitome of Peace in the Niger Delta Region; An Advocate of Peace and Good Governance; Bridge Builder and Detribalised Personality; An Icon of Peace and Value Engineer; A Rare Ambassador and Justice of Peace (JP); An Outstanding Humanitarian and Philanthropist Par Excellence; An Embodiment of Peace, Love, Humility and Respect; A Multiple Award Winner on Peace, Education, Humanitarian Service and Development; A Catalyst of Human Capacity Building; Restorer of Hope of the people;  Strong Voice for the oppressed and Defender of the Defenceless; Believer and Driver of the socio-economic development;  Galvanizer of Grassroots Development and Peace;  A rallying point of progressives and positive minds;  Engine-room of positive ideology; Quintessential and Unprecedented Giver; Adding Value to Lives of vulnerable and poor Nigerians; Champion of Peaceful Coexistence among Communities; and the Torch-bearer of Ugulagha Kingdom. In fact, we can go on and on because your impact is enormous and reverberates.

No doubt, going down to memory lane on your background, you were massively elected by the young people as the pioneer President of Ugulagha Federated Youth Council. We known your achievement still speaks volume.

We also remember how you were appointed Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, which was not far-fetched from your nature of peace, respect and maturity in handling issues, and you were really on ground to add value to the governance process.

No doubt, your current appointment as Executive Director od Delta State Oil Producing Development Commission (DESOPADEC) well is deserved, which is a great indicator of your past faithful, selfless and loyal stewardship in service to the people. The current impact you are making to galvanise and transform oil and gas bearing communities is enormous and amazing.

Just take a look at your effort to give the people of Delta State sir, DESOPADEC under your leadership has brought a new lease of life and sense of belonging to the people of oil bearing communities in Delta State, which has been strongly backed up by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.

Some of the critical and legacy projects include the following;

§  Carnalisation of Sekebolou               

§  Electrification of Ogulagha to Youbebe                    

§  Construction of Landing Jetty at Obotobo 1             

§  Construction of concrete pavement road at Enekorogha           

§  Electrification of Obuguru Town     

§  Construction of Health Centre at Sekobolou

§  Construction of landing jetty at Inikorogha Town

§  Reconstruction and furnishing of Seikebolou Town Hall                            

§  Construction of three classroom blocks at Okuntu    

§  Renovation and furnishing of Trinity Primary School, Youbebe     

§  Numerous human capital development on peace and conflict resolution in the creeks

§  Advocacy on sustainable peace

§ Empowerment of youths and women empowerment as well as other humanitarian gestures across the Niger

It is also gratifying to note that as Leader/Founder of Shadrach Agediga Foundation SAF, for its commitment to champion and promote peace in the creeks of the Niger Delta region, which has to a great extend brought about peaceful coexistence among Niger Deltans and Nigerians at large.

We at Niger Delta Advocate for Peace and Good Governance Group, understands and promotes peace initiatives and support those who are at the vanguard of peace building as Peace Ambassador Shadrach Agediga is doing and that is why we are here with the National Coordinator of Niger Delta Advocate for Peace and Good Governance Group, Comrade Fiawei E Pathfinder, to give you honour and recognition for your great work to humanity.

However, it is important for us to mention that peace remains paramount and major driving force and engine-room to development, progress and prosperity. It is important to emulate Ambassador Agediga for embrace peace, tolerance and understanding for a prosperous Delta State and Ugulagha Kingdom, as essential price to pay by right thinking human beings.

Our communities need to live in peace beginning from the family,  and leaders and members are to sustain it through practicing it everywhere you go including your place of work, school, market, church, journey, campaigns, rallies, and other places we find ourselves

We also urge Deltans to collaborate with Delta State Government and the Buhari-led Federal Government to promote peaceful co-existence because it remains number one assignment for us because without peace no government can achieve any meaningful development, either at the federal, state, and local government levels.

May the Almighty God grant you long life and strength, and provide you with needed materials and resources with the manpower to enable you drive this project to an enviable height for global recognition in JESUS NAME!

In his reaction, Dr. Shedrack Agediga expressed delight for the recognition accorded to him and thanked God and the organization for encouraging him with an award by appreciating his deeds for the people in Niger Delta.

He thanked the group  for the honor and promised to continue to partner with  every organisation and people who are in the business of selfless and humanitarian services to improve the Peace and livelihood of every community. 

Amb. Agediga also  advised the group to be focused and be all inclusive in their leadership and service approach.

Meanwhile, the award was presented to Amb. Dr. Shedrack Agediga on Thursday 4th of November 2021 at his office in DESOPADEC was also given a customized 50 notebooks and a portrait.
