A reputable group operating under the aegis of New Delta National League yesterday paid an unscheduled visit to a high profiled Chief in Niger Delta, Chief Kestin Pondi, the Ibe-benemowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State. The New Delta National League, led by its president Comr. Peter Yisah had while presenting a carefully and well crafted portrait of Chief Kestin Pondi at Warri, Delta State yesterday described the revered Chief as a rare and precious gift to Delta State, Ijaws and Nigeria at large.
According to Yisah, the portrait was presented to Chief Kestin Pondi in honour of his sterling contribution towards the growth and development of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
The group presented the portrait to Chief Kestin Pondi to mark his glowing birth anniversary.

The National Executives and members of NDNL paid an unscheduled courtesy visit to High Chief KESTIN Pondi E. in his warri residence.
The National president led by Comrd Peter Omarayerue Yisah, took time to admonish Chief Kestin Pondi and find him worthy to emulate both in truth and in character.
The National president also take time to commend his leadership style and call him a man that has the heart of gold to welcome everyone as friend despite your religion, race or tribe.

We were well received by him and his associates and he thanked the leadership and members for the great work they’re doing in sensitizing the people and their philanthropic role in the society. In his speech, He urged all members to be up and doing that when there is peace there will be development in the land.
He also urged all not to give up with the challenges Nigerians are facing due to the harsh economic conditions ravaging the country, he also appreciated the presence of NDNL saying that this is the time for a branded Delta state and charged the group for the total and overall development of the state and country at large and that the group should do more to better its Input to government’s policies and development to infrastructures and national development.
The Hallmark of the visit was a presentation of a portrait picture of the High Chief as a mark of honour for his good work.The High Chief who couldn’t contain his joy, expressed his profound gratitude for the kind gesture of the NDNL. He however in the midst of his family members and well-wishers who were present advised the NDNL to distinguish itself from those groups that engage in sycophancy because of financial rewards that cannot be justified.
He added that the NDNL should be programme-oriented for the development of the state.
In his words of encouragement, he urged the group that the group will have his support at any time and that this is a great surprise and he never saw it coming.
