The Member Representing Warri South West in the Delta State house of Assembly, Hon Emomotimi Guwor has congratulated the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Sen. James E. Manager over his victory at the Court of Appeal sitting in Benin City the Edo State Capital on Monday.

This was contained in a release issued on behalf of the Hon Emomotimi Guwor media team, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator.

Hon Guwor said, the victory is an affirmation that Sen. Manager truly won the February 23 senatorial election with a landslide vote which was obvious.

He noted that ”the supposed distractors of the Egbaige of the Universe was just pursuing personal gains and not that of the beloved people of Delta South. ”

He wrote ”On behalf of me and the good people of Warri South west who massively Voted for you and still believe in your true representation hereby Congratulate and celebrate with you on your Victory. ”

Recalled that Senator James manager contested the Febryary 23 election with his closest rival Dr. Emmanuel Uduahan who contested under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and was declared winner haven polled the highest number of votes as required by the Law.

Not satisfied with the declaration of Sen. Manager as the winner, Uduahan approached the Delta State Election Petition Tribunal that sat in Asaba asking it to void the election of Manager and declare him winner.

The election tribunal delivered what many perceived as controversial judgement, in which it nullified the said election and ordered a rerun.

Sen Manager however lodged an appeal at the Benin City division of the appeal court, praying the court to set aside earlier judgement by the Delta State Election Petition Tribunal, and affirm his victory.

This judgment by the appeal court has finally put to rest the legal tussle regarding the election of Sen. Manager, as the appeal court is the apex court that can adjudicate of national assembly election matters.
