GYC Roars, Backs Ultimatum Of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warns Antagonists To Keep Clear- The Liberator
Advises FG to take ultimatum serious and work with it

President general of Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC), apex youth body in the kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Shadrach Onitsha Ebikeme has backed the 10 days ultimatum given to the Federal Government of Nigeria by the Gbaramatu Kingdom leadership to address their needs or face shut down of all oil facilities in the area.
The president of all youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom had warned antagonists of the ultimatum from the Niger Delta region to keep clear from the affairs of Gbaramatu Kingdom, stressing that they are fighting for their rights and can no longer keep quiet in the face of unbridled injustice and marginalization.
President Ebikeme Shadrach gave the warning yesterday via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
The number one youth in Oil rich Gbaramatu Kingdom had advised the Federal Government of Nigeria, headed by President Muhammadu Buhari to take the 10 days ultimatum serious and work with it urgently as the 10 days ultimatum expires today.
He maintained that the entire youths of Gbaramatu kingdom are solidly behind the decision taken by the Kingdom leadership wherein the revered spokesman of the traditional council of chiefs, Chief Godspower Gbenekama (JP) addressed the press recently in Oporoza, traditional headquarters of the kingdom where series of deprivation issues where highlighted during the world press briefing.
Ebikeme said it is the best interest of the Federal Government of Nigeria to disregard all those ranting via the media, particularly a group known as Niger Delta Ijaw Leaders Forum (NDILF) that had published, stating that nothing will happen in the region, the GYC president described the said group as bunch of elements not worthy of responding to.
Comr. Shadrach noted that there is no going back on the said ultimatum as they will carry out their actions if the Federal Government fails to address the stated issues as the 10 days ultimatum expires today.
Nevertheless, Comr. Shadrach had challenged authors of the said publication, Comr. Ebipade Fedeke leader of the purported Niger Delta Ijaw Leaders Forum (NDILF) to come out open like what the people of Gbaramatu did in their press briefing and not this sort of pseudo arrangement.
Ebikeme noted that if an indigene of Gbaramatu was able to get the Presidential Amnesty office position is an added advantage to the kingdom but certainly that should not be allowed to act as a cog in the wheel of progress against the greater and general interest of the people.
