According to information reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, Ijaw youths from the different Niger Delta states have reportedly stormed the Portharcourt head office of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) with a heavy protest, demanding for the immediate constitution of the long overdue NDDC substantive board.
The youths brandishing several placards with different inscriptions had totally shutdown the NDDC office with hundreds of Ijaw youths drawn from the various Niger Delta states.
According to a source who spoke to The Liberator Newspapers but would not want his name to be mentioned in print had noted that the main entrance to the office have been shutdown as there is no going out and coming in among workers in the NDDC office.
The source maintained that the issue of a sole administrator in the NDDC and its SA appointments are all illegal, describing it as a diversionary measure to further exploit and manipulate Niger Deltans.
It was further learnt that the heavy protest had led to the hampering of vehicular movements around the area.
As at the time of filling this report, details about the protest is still sketchy, this is a developing story, more details later………….
