In what traditional pundits has described as a rare feat, High Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh, popularly known as the Lord of KFT Conglomerate recently received yet another chieftaincy title to his fleet of titles but this time from the traditional ruler of Idjerhe kingdom, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Obukohwo Monday Arthur Whiskey (JP), the Udurhie 1 as the Omamoromor-Ovie of Idjhere Kingdom. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

However, the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom confered the Chieftaincy title to Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh as the Omamoromor-Ovie of the Kingdom while celebrating his one year coronation anniversary as King in the Kingdom. 

In the words of the revered traditional ruler: “For the purpose of emphasis, this Kingdom and Gbaramatu is one and you all can attest to this fact within the past 28 years. I have laboured and worked seriously to ensure that the Peace and development in Gbaramatu is sustained. I did not take this decision for monetary purpose. I took the decision because I want a more united Idjerhe and Gbaramatu kingdoms.” 

“I am confident that with a close synergy, we can achieve more. We must use our mouth to speak for our people. We cannot be producing the resources that sustain the nation yet beg to live among our people. We must reap the benefits of our labour, we must benefit from our God given resources.

“It is on this note that I resolved to honour you Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh as a notable son of Gbaramatu Kingdom that has made uncountable sacrifices for the development of the Niger Delta. You are not only a good son to the good people of Gbaramatu Kingdom but also to the good people of Idjerhe Kingdom, hence, this conferment of chieftaincy honour as the OMAMOROMOR-OVIE of Idjerhe Kingdom.”

In a swift reaction after the confirment of chieftaincy title to Uduboh, Chief Ekomieyefa appreciated the traditional ruler and the people of Idjerhe Kingdom for finding him worthy of such title, stressing that he will not let them down. 

Addressing newsmen after the confirment, Ekomieyefa said he will continue to see the title as a call to service, adding that he will do all within his powers to partner with the king and the people of Idjerhe Kingdom in advancing the traditional stool, praying that the Lord Almighty shall continue to give His Royal Majesty,  King Monday Whiskey (JP), Udurhie 1, the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom more knowledge and unprecedented wisdom to move the Kingdom forward.

Speaking further, the revered Niger Delta high chief has appreciated Chief Dennis Otuaro, Chief Kestin Pondi, Chief Ebimobowei Oguma and other illustrious sons of Gbaramatu and Ijaw nation at large for rejoicing with  him during the ceremony. 

Meanwhile, with this 7th Chieftaincy title, Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh has now become a septuple chief in Niger Delta.
