Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Hon. Julius Pondi has mourned and sympathized with the Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, family of the deceased and the entire  people of the Local Government on the death of the seven women.

This is contained in a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri earlier today, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

The statement reads in full below:

My Heartfelt Condolences to the Chairman and people of Bomadi Local Government Area and the Families of our Departed Seven Sisters.

24/08/2021

I write to convey my deepest condolences to the chairman of Bomadi local government area, the families and the entire people of Bomadi town over the unfortunate incident that claimed the lives of seven women on Saturday 21st of October on their way from a marriage ceremony.

This has indeed left the families, people of Bomadi and the whole of Ijaw nation in a sad mood.

While we can not question God, we take solace in the good deeds of the departed souls who were out there to support and celebrate with the new couple in obedience to the biblical provision of celebrating with those who celebrate.

I, therefore, on behalf of the people of Burutu Federal Constituency pray to the Almighty God to grant Mr Chairman, the families and the entire people of Bomadi council area the fortitude to bear this painful loss. It is my prayer that God will not permit such tragedy to befall us ever again.

RT. Hon. Julius Pondi

Member Federal House of Representatives

Burutu Federal Constituency.
