How Ogbe-Ijoh leaders broker peace between Dr. Bebenimibo, Ogbe-Ijoh youths

THE leadership of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has waded into the misunderstanding between Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council and Dr Paul Bebenimibo, Commissioner Representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the board of DESOPADEC who is maternally from Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.

The meeting was presided by Chief Favour Izoukumor in his Edjeba residence. In attendance were Chief Roland Takemebo, Chairman Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Governing Council, Elder Godwin Donye, Chief Samson Oyimi, Chief Harrison Gbenekama SA to Delta State Government on Project and Community Development, Chief Joel Ogbona EA to Delta State Deputy Governor on security, Chief Andrew Anegba, Apostle Preye Koremene PDP Chairman Ogbe-Ijoh Ward, and others.

Also in attendance were the Youth President of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Mr. James Etimadimene who is paternally from Gbaramatu Kingdom and his executive, the Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Comrade Victor Akemetubo and his executive as well other youth leaders from Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom.

While meditating over the misunderstanding, the fieyewei of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Chief Favour Izoukumor appealed to Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council and the Honorable Commissioner to give peace a chance,
for the interest and well-being of the kingdom. Speaking further, Chief Izoukumor commended His Royal Majesty Couple Markson Oromoni, Mobene III, The Pere Amaokosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom for his fatherly wisdom and Chief Frank Omare as well as other stakeholders that supported a peace process that has indeed given birth to a peaceful resolution.

Dr Paul Bebenimibo in his remark apologized to Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom over what happened, while assuring the leadership that he will take care of the medical bills and other expenses incurred during the course of the misunderstanding.

In his part, the Youth President who spoke on behalf of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council, Mr. James Etimadimene said, so far the leadership of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has waded into the issue for peace to be given a chance, he will definitely respect the leadership, and allow peace to prevail, adding that he has no problem with the Honorable Commissioner.
