The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom structure of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have described the death of former Niger Delta freedom fighter, late Chief Friday Igbegbe as a monumental loss to Ijaw nation.
This was contained in a statement personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri earlier today by Amb. Victor Akemotubo, Chairman IYC Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

Demise of Chief Igbegbe: We’ve loss an enigma in activism and politics, IYC Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom
The Ijaw Youth Council, (IYC) Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom receives with utermost shock in the unfortunate demise of Chief Friday Igbegbe: A leader whose contributions will stand the test of time.
On the 23rd of October, 2021 is indeed a dark day for the Ijaw Nation, particularly for the IYC of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom.
The Ebogha I of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom fought for the liberation and freedom of Ijaw Nation.
Chief Igbegbe was one of the stakeholders that joined in the formation of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, a leader and a freedom fighter who led by example, his sacrifice towards Ijaw agitation is a sound proof of his love for his tribe and region.
IYC Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom sends its heartfelt condolence to the family of Chief Friday Igbegbe, we pray that God Almighty shall protect and guide his soul to rest in perfect peace amen.
