IIA writes Manager, charges him to operate open door policy, make strong case for Ijaw youths – The Liberator
The group while making strong case on the need to give sense of belonging to youths in the senatorial district who allegedly sacrifices a lot for his return, particularly from the Ijaw axis accused the red chamber lawmaker of not being accessible to constituents.
Amb. Arerebo noted that the senator must listen to the cries of his people, stressing that the abandoned Okoloba Technical Maritime College and the systemic removal of the Okerenkoko Floating Dockyard remains burning issues that needed his superior legislative intervention.
The letter reads in full below:

Sir,
RESPOND TO THE CRIES AND COMPLAINS OF OUR PEOPLE, IS HIGH TIME YOU REWARD THOSE YOUNG PEOPLE THAT STOOD WITH YOU DURING YOUR TRYING TIMES, OPERATE OPEN DOOR POLICY.
In the spirit of Ijawism and leader and constituent, I greet you highly and respectfully sir as I write to you on behalf of the forever dogged lieutenants of IIA; Izanzan Intellectual Camp.
Sir, as one of your subject; constituent and son to your late political associate from Ayakoromo, I deem it fit to send you this message via this cyber space because all the means to reach out to you are abortive.
To back up my claim, letter were sent to you through your close subjects in respect of the unjustifiable closure of the the Okoloba Science and Technical Maritime College since last year sadly till this moment no response therefore I have decided never to send you letter via anybody because it will still be abortive thus this means is more preferable and faster.
Well the subject matter of this letter is very clear as rightly spelt out in the above, therefore I stand on my ground to unequivocally state that those young people that stood for you during your trying times should be timely rewarded as expected and is high time you respond to the cries and complains of our people especially on the unjustifiable closure of the Okoloba Maritime College, the purported transfer of The Okerenkoko Dock Yard to Lagos and many other developmental issues.
Sir, the aforementioned issues ought to have been raise and discuss internally but due to the fact that you are not operating open door system after elections prompted this form of communication. It is an unarguable fact that, any leader that is not operating open door policy is attracting both constructive and non constructive criticism to his or herself.
Distinguished Senator Sir, I must emphatically tell you the truth that the level of lamentation by those young people; myself inclusive that stood for you during your election is very high. Most of them are highly aggrieved yet pretending to be okay with everything right in front of you. We massively supported you in your subsequent elections not because you are the best but because you are our kinsman and we expect that you will attend to our plights and operate open door policy even after elections to listen to the cries and complains of our people but unfortunately what we are observing is the other way round.
This letter might be misconstrue to you in one form or the other by those sycophants around you but the paramount thing is that the message has been passed, the level of displeasure has been expressed in clear terms and it’s worthy to note that this message is born out of the love I have for you as my extended father and representative at the red chambers.
To this end I want to once again appeal to your conscience to operate open door policy, attend to the plights of our people and most importantly reward the young people that stood for you during your trying times because you still need their assistance. Most of them had attracted unnecessary enemies to themselves even when you are dining and wining with the perceived political enemies.
