Ijaw Entertainment Forum Makes Case For Inclusion In Governance

A revered group within the Niger Delta region under the aegis of Ijaw Entertainment Forum (IEF) have called on Governors of the Niger Delta region to include them in the course of Governance.
This was made known to newsmen in Warri yesterday by President general of the group, Prince Tari Karinade Abioka Jnr popularly known as Niger Delta Prince of talk via a statement, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.
Speaking on behalf of other members of the revered group, Prince Abioka also known as the ‘fiepere of Ijaw nation ‘ expressed worry over the state of things following the wanton neglect meted out on members of the Ijaw Entertainment Forum across the Niger Delta States over the years.
The Niger Delta Prince of talk opined that during elections, the Ijaw entertainers will be brought out to spice up political campaigns, alleging that after elections those in authority will be so quick in forgetting about them with political appointments.
Karinade particularly appealed to Ijaw politicians within the Niger Delta states to always remember members of the Ijaw Entertainment Forum with political appointments, stressing that they are also humans in Ijaw nation that deserves to be appointed into Government offices like others.
The group had in the statement wondered why the Ijaw Entertainers could be so sidelined from the scheme of things in the region after contributing much in spreading the gospel of love and unity in their various genres, promoting the region and her people for years.
He said the story of entertainers from other tribes within the region and the country at large is not so as some have become elected officers in some states while others have been constantly decorated with various political appointments and what have you.
Prince Abioka noted that it is not too late for the said leaders to begin the process of considering appointment of the Ijaw entertainers into various political offices, adding that the group is laced with capable and competent hands.
In his explanations, the president general of the Ijaw Entertainment Forum maintained that the forum is made off Musicians, Comedians, Actors, Actress, Dancers, Masters of Ceremonies (MCs) with the host of others.
