An Ijaw group operating under the aegis of Niger Delta Ex-agitators Forum, NDEF, has congratulated President Mohammadu Buhari on his victory during the 2019 presidential election.

NDEF under the command of Comr. Fellakumor A. ThankGod had urged president Mohammadu Buhari to continue with Prof. Charles Q. Dokubo as the coordinator of the presidential amnesty programme, PAP.

Comr. ThankGod had particularly argued that Dokubo had proved himself worthy to continue in the office, stressing that the amnesty programme is truly having a headway under the leadership of Prof. Charles.

In his words: “The Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Prof Charles Dokubo has proved himself just within one year in office,  he has put smiles on the faces of the Niger Delta Amnesty delegates in different areas.I want to use this medium to appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to work with Prof Charles Dokubo in this second term, because he had proved to us that knowledge is power.

“When Hon. Kingsley Kuku was appointed, he played his part by laying the foundation of education of studying at home and abroad and other areas of skills training. But some persons see it in the opposite direction. Gen Boroh was also appointed and he tried his best, yet we saw it from the left angle. Now Prof. Charles Dokubo is doing what he knows best, we seems not to understand now.”

However, Fellakumor had called on those calling for the removal of Dokubo to have a rethink but to support Dokubo to achieve the main objectives of the programme.

Meanwhile, he had pleaded with the amnesty delegates to see reasons with Prof. Charles and not to play to the galley of what he called sponsored protests from people he said never meant well for the programme.

Nevertheless, while wishing Prof. Dokubo success in handling the office, ThankGod had charged the PAP boss to give listening ear to those with genuine cases within the amnesty programme.

The Niger Delta rights activist made the call yesterday in a press statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
