Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity Cup: Mulade Shocks Media Houses, LOC Members With Financial Appreciation

A world renowned environmental activist, Amb. Comr. Sheriff Mulade has shocked media houses in Nigeria and members of the Local Organizing Committee, LOC for the just concluded second edition of the 2019 Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity Cup otherwise known as Comrade Sheriff Mulade Peace and Unity Cup in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

While commending members of the LOC headed by Hon. Ken Nwamocha for a job well done, Mulade stated that the tournament wouldn’t have recorded the huge success without the cooperation of members constituting the Local Organizing Committee of the tournament.
Speaking further, the global environmental cum human rights activist praised media houses for the prompt reportage of events surrounding the 2019 edition of the Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity Cup otherwise known as Comrade Sheriff Mulade Peace and Unity Cup.

Publishers and members of the LOC was shocked beyond words as Mulade dole out financial package to appreciate them for a job well done.
Mulade particularly expressed happiness that the purpose for which the tournament was hosted which according to him was to achieve peace and unity among Ijaws and Itsekiris has been largely achieved, noting that he will continue to sustain and consolidate on the existing peace in the area.

However, Mulade expressed readiness for the hosting of the third edition, stressing that this time around, the tournament will cut across Warri South West, Warri South and Warri North Local Government Areas of Delta State with two venues in each of the Local Government Areas.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the LOC, Hon Ken Nwamocha pointed out some grey areas in the just concluded tournament, stressing that though the purpose of the tournament has been achieved but stated that those grey areas from players and the non performance of some persons should not be allowed to come to the fore in the next edition.
Nevertheless, Amb. Mulade hailed the Executive Director, ED, Planning, Research and Statistics, PRS, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Amb. Comr. Shedrack Agediga and Hon. Mofe Pirah, commissioner special duties, Delta State for their financial contributions in support of the tournament.
High point of the meeting was the formal dissolution of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2019 Ijaw/Itsekiri Peace and Unity Cup.
