Ijaw Leader Agediga Bags Award Of Excellence From Ogulagha Kingdom Students – The Liberator

The National Associated of Ogulagha Clan Students NAOCS has honoured the Executive Director, Planning Research and Statistics of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), a revered Ijaw leader, Amb. Comr. Shedrack Agediga with an award of excellence. 

The award according to the student body is in recognition of his numerous contributions towards the  educational  development of the kingdom, Niger Delta at large  and his constant support for NAOCS  right from the establishment of the students association. 

In his remarks, Comr. Clever Igere, national president of NAOCS who led the student delegation on the visit  rrecently in Warri, Delta State said the student body is full of appreciation to the Sokebolou born politician, business tycoon, peace advocate and philanthropist whom he described as lover of education, urging him to remain committed to the course of development of the kingdom.

Igere said “While NAOCS took its time and resources to come and appreciate the lover of education, it will be made known that Naocs represents not only the students gratitude but that of the entire Ogulagha kingdom people in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State for the passion in which  Comr Shedrack Agediga has continued to bear his heart through selfless service to all strata of the kingdom which NAOCS is a major beneficiary of such magnanimity.

“Sir, we want to thank you for all you have been doing for NAOCS” he added.

In his reaction, the Executive Director thanked the students for the visit and urged them to be focused while working together as one to ensure the growth  of NAOCS.

While promising not to relent in his support for the student body, he charged them to find joy in  participating in Clan youths, sub-youths and even community meetings as it serve as  means of identifying with kingsmen.

Amb. Agediga, a global peace advocate, recipient of the revered Nelson Mandela centenary award is also the Chairman cum founder of the Shedrack Agediga Foundation (SAF), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) he has been using in positively touching the lives of many across the country. 

The Shedrack Agediga Foundation have carved a positive name for herself among the multifaceted Non Governmental Organisations in Nigeria and Africa at large, thereby training and empowering  people with scholarship, financial empowerment and meeting people at the point of their needs. 

The revered Ijaw leader, Agediga had reiterated that so long as the Lord Almighty keeps blessing him, he will not relinquish in his bid to contribute his quota towards the growth and development of mankind in our society, particularly his primary constituencies and beyond. 

Meanwhile, Comr. Williams Welemu, a budding peace advocate cum Niger Delta human rights activist lauded Igere and his team for deeming it fit to honour the Ijaw leader with such an award, stressing that it is a well deserving one.
