The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone under the leadership of Dr. Comr. Doubra Collins Okotete and his executive members have concluded plans to celebrate the late foremost Ijaw freedom fighter, Maj. Gen. Jasper Adaka Boro who died 54 years ago. 

Hinting The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide, Dr. Comr. Doubra Collins Okotete, Chairman, IYC Western Zone had invited all sons and daughters of Ijaw nation in Edo, Ondo and Delta states to participate in  the occasion. 

Dr. Okotete stated that the event will begin by 8:30am  today as the Ijaw youths are expected to converge at the popular Airport Junction in Warri, Delta State, adding that from there activities will begin with a dance procession in form of rally to estate and from there to the famous Chief Tunde Smooth Playground at NPA, Warri. 

However, he noted that security agencies have all been alerted for the day as over there at the Tunde Smooth Playground, an Ijaw musician, Prince Abraham Donor will be entertaining guests. 

Okotete continued that there is going to be refreshment, red carpet and other interesting activities to commemorate Boro 54 years after. 

He said all clan structures in Western Zone, stakeholders of council in the Zone are all expected to grace the historic event.
