Inauguration: Bebapere Vows To Restore Ogulagha Lost Glory,  Releases Message Of Hope

Chairman of Oil rich Ogulagha Community, Comr. John T. Bebapere  in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has vowed to work collectively with his exco and entire members of the community to bring back the  lost glory of Ogulagha. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.


The articulate Chairman of Ogulagha community made the vow on Saturday 19th of March 2022 at Ogulagha community town hall during the inauguration ceremony of the new exco members of the community headed by Comr. John Bebapere as Chairman. 

According to Bebapere, he said his administration will work closely with all leadership organs in the community as well as the kingdom leadership in ensuring that peaceful coexistence among members of the community remains unshakable.

Chairman John said the community election has come and gone, adding that there is nothing like a winner or looser, stressing that the only thing is that it is Ogulagha community that has won.

He noted that his administration will develop a developmental framework to ensure that within three years, Ogulagha wears a new look in the various sectors of the community, stressing that such developmental policies will be achieved via the community budget and  understandings  with companies operating in the area. 

Speaking further, Comr. John had particularly charged sons and daughters of Ogulagha community to shun acts capable of plunging the community into something else but to rather embrace peace at all times and see one another as true brothers and one big family.

He maintained that there is more to achieve by being united as one big family than a divided one, noting that the better and stronger Ogulagha community sons and daughters are craving for can only be achieved by the positive contributions of all.


However, Mr. John Bebapere had appreciated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo for his role in ensuring that Ogulagha remains peaceful and united, adding that words have failed him to properly appreciate Tompolo for his many sacrifices he has made in the community, noting that he is hugely indebted to him.

Meanwhile, the duo of Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives and aspirant vying for same position come 2023 and Amb. Dr. Comr. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) in similar vein lauded the people of Ogulagha community for the peaceful election and wonderful inauguration ceremony. 

They acharged the Chairman and his exco members to carry everyone along, stressing that when spider webs unite, they can tie up a lion, stating that with the power of love and unity, Ogulagha can achieve any set goal.

Pondi and Agediga graced the ceremony as Special Guest of honours while Capt. Alex Yelemu was Chairman of the occasion as well as the paramount ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom was royal father of the day. 

The ceremony was graced by sons and daughters of Ogulagha community, neighbouring communities, Kingdoms, women and youth groups as well as important personalities including the prime minister of Ijaws in Udu Kingdom, Pilot Whiskey Aranta, Ogidigben-arere, Chief Amb. Francis Boumiebi (JP), Chief Amb. Dr. Apst.  Godspower Tomone, Sir Letthemsay  Braboke and others too numerous to mention.
