Inauguration: Takeme Lauds Okowa For Appointing Strong Hands, Congratulates New Commissioners

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Delta South Senatorial District, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP) has lauded His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for appointing strong hands into the Delta State Executive Council. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The Delta South PDP Chairman made the remark yesterday in Asaba shortly after the inauguration ceremony of the new commissioners.

While congratulating the commissioners, Dr. Takeme asserted that Governor Okowa has selected the right people for the job, stressing it shows that the Governor is truly committed to his finishing strong Agenda.

He described Okowa as a detribalized Governor whose human capacity building, youths empowerment, economic blue print as well as infrastructural development that are visible in all nook and cranny of the state, rejoicing that Deltans are lucky to have him as Governor of the state. 

Takeme had also called on Deltans to continue to sustain their support for the Governor and the Peoples Democratic Party, adding that Okowa has made their work as party officials much more easier by performing beyond the expectations of Deltans in his fruitful administration. 

Chief Takeme expressed optimism that he is confident that the new commissioners will put in their bests in contributing their quota towards the growth and development of the state. 

Those sworn in were Rt. Hon. Evelyn Oboro, Princess Shola Ogbemi-Daibo, Mrs Rose Ezewu, Mrs Flora Alanta, Mrs Kate Onianwa, Chief Festus Ochonogor, Mr Charles Aniagwu, Chief Arthur Akpowowo and Dr Barry Gbe.

Others were Mr Julius Egbedi, Mr Christian Onogba, Mr Lawrence Ejiofor, Mr Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Mr Noel Omodon, Mr Churchill Amagada, Mr Jonathan Ukodhiko, Mr Johnbull Edema and Chief Fidelis Tilije.

Responding on behalf of the new commissioners, Chief Tilije thanked the governor for finding them worthy to be appointed, adding that they were joyous to be part of the last lap of the administration.
