Inauguration: Tarede Vows To Engage Authorities For The Development Of Odimodi Community

Newly democratically elected and legally sworn in President of Odimodi Youth Movement (OYF), Comr. Tarede Ebiarede has vowed that he will engage authorities and companies operating in the area for the development of the community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

Comr. Tarede gave the assurance yesterday at the Eluwe playground, Odimodi in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State during the inauguration ceremony while briefing the media on his intentions to govern the youth wing of the community. 

The president while stressing that he will operate an open door policy and will consult all existing leadership structures in the community before carrying out his actions for the development of the community had stated that he will work closely with his exco members for the development of Odimodi. 

He particularly appreciated all those that contested with him for their peaceful disposition, stressing that they are all brothers and so it shall remain, adding that whenever the need arise, they shall be consulted on the way forward for the community as the task of moving Odimodi community forward requires everyone’s contributions. 

However, he had appreciated the youths and people of Odimodi Community for the opportunity given to him to rule as president of the revered commuity, adding that he will never dissapoint them.

Speaking further, Ebiarede continued that his statement will be incomplete without appreciating the Odimodi Youth Movement Electoral Committee led by Comr. Godspower Okpako, maintaning that the election was free, fair and peaceful. 

Meanwhile, on his part, Chairman of the occasion, Rt. Hon. Bob Collins Igetei, Speaker 5th Mobile Parliament, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC ) Worldwide had in his speech tasked the Tarede led Exco to carry everyone along in his administration. 

In his words: “Carry everyone along, do not hold grudges against anyone, people may have contested with you but always carry them along, always consult all leadership structures in the community before taking certain actions, the people should also respect the President, rule without nepotism. I  appreciates the eleco for a peaceful conduct of the Odimodi  youth movement election. “

Nevertheless, the Inauguration was heavily graced by chiefs and elders of Odimodi Community, youth leaders from Ogulagha Kingdom, political leaders, IYC Parliamentarians, delegation from Ekogbene, Ijaw ladies from different Kingdoms in Delta State, committee of friends as well as others too numerous to mention.

An Ijaw rising musician, Mr. Alex Owei, popularly known as Sabi Boy and his crew were  fully on ground to thrill dignitaries with his scintillating performance.
