Independence: How Burutu Legislative House Leader, Alubeze Dole Out N3m To Empower Followers

In what has been described as an uncommon gesture among Councillors in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Joseph Asiaye Alubeze, leader of the Burutu Legislative House on Thursday surprised his followers by doling out not less than N3 Million for the empowerment of his people. The Liberator Newspaper can report. 

The empowerment was done yesterday in Ughelli, Delta State as his own way of celebrating Nigeria’s 60th independence as a country. 

Hon. Alubeze, three term councillor in Burutu Local Government Area with shining record of being a good leader had while reacting to newsmen on his kind gesture stated that he is always happy whenever he is able to put smiles on the faces of people. 

Leader Alubeze asserted that one thing is to become a leader of people and the other thing is on the part of the leader to also reward followers with good representation and empowering followers, stressing that followers and the people at the grass root remains the very foundation of politics, adding that without such and the hand work of God, a politician may not go far in politics. 

Speaking further, Hon. Joseph explained that the money was used to purchase some motorcycles and cash to some of his followers in Kiagbodo ward in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. 

Alubeze said as long as God keeps blessing him, he will not relent in putting smiles on the faces of his people, adding that better days are here. 

Presenting the motorcycles at his residence in Ughelli to beneficiaries, the three term councillor and business magnate stated that the empowerment is a reward for loyalty, and also a medium to cushion the negative effect the global pandemic Covid-19 has brought upon humanity.

The Leader while congratulating the beneficiaries, tasked them to make good use of it and become useful and dependent on themselves, stating that a bird at hand is worth more than millions out there.

He also used the medium to reiterate his commitment on the wellbeing of his followers, declaring to them that this is just the beginning of many good things to come. 

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries Comr. Jonathan Jackson, youth leader of Ward 8 PDP, Burutu LGA,  described Alubeze as a leader with a large heart and assured him of making good use of the empowerment given him and others, he also stated that this is not the first time the highly revered and youth friendly leader have come up with such a gesture, that it has been his usual routine, while thanking God to have ever crossed path with such kind hearted and God fearing leader.

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Alubeze for long has been the one paying the entire light bill of Kiagbodo Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. 

He has given scholarship to both primary, secondary and university level among his people and countless of his good deeds he has done to Niger Deltans who come in contact with him.
