Wants Buhari to make peace with Tompolo

Urges Okowa to prioritize the development of Delta Ijaw riverine communities
Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Earnest Bebenimibo has congratulated President Mohammadu Buhari and his vice Prof. Yemi Osibanjo for their successful innauguration.
In a similar manner, Bebenimibo had also congratulated His Excellencies Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi A. Okowa and his deputy Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley B. Otuaro on the successful taking of oath as Governor and deputy Governor of Delta State.
This was made known to newsmen in Warri yesterday by Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Earnest Bebenimibo, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
While congratulating them, the Delta State PDP chieftain had called on President Buhari to make peace with Tompolo.
In his words: “President Mohammadu Buhari should use his second tenure to by all means make peace with the man High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo”.
In stressing on the need on the part of the federal Government to make peace with Tompolo, Earnest had described the Tompolo’s travails as politically motivated by people he described as self styled Niger Delta leaders.
However, he had further appealed to the federal Government of Nigeria to as a matter of urgency to immediately begin to massively build structures at the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko permanent site in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking further, he had drawn the attention of the Federal Government to put in place measures that will see the quick fixation of the Dockyard in Gbaramatu Kingdom, stating that such will greatly boost the socio economic life of the entire region when completed.
Meawhile, the Warri South West Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Delta State had also urged Governor Okowa to concentrate more on the Ijaw riverine communities in the state.
Nevertheless, he had earlier appreciated the Governor and his deputy for remembering the hitherto neglected riverine communities in the state, noting that the story is now gradually becoming different.
In justifying his claims on why the present Delta State Government must concentrate more on the Ijaw riverine communities, Bebenimibo had noted that Okowa’s victory could be hugely attributed to the bloc votes that came from the Ijaw areas during the last election.
