An Ijaw interest advocate operating under the aegis of Izanzan Intellectual Camp has mourned the death of a revered Niger Delta Human Rights Activist, late Pa Saturday Eregbene.

This was contained in a statement personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri recently by Arerebo Salaco Yerinmene SNR, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

While consoling the family of late Saturday Eregbene, Salaco had described the deceased activist as a rare activist in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, Ijaw nation and the Nigerian state, stressing that he was a key factor in the formation of the Ijaw Interest Advocates (IIA).

Speaking further, the group had described his death as unfortunate, stressing that he is leaving at a time the group and the entire Ijaw nation needs him more considering his vast wealth of experience.

The statement reads below:

Condolence Mesaage: If A Genuine Activist Will Go To Heaven, We Sure Pa Eregbene Will Go To Heaven ~ IzanzanCamp

The notification of the sudden dismise of a great iconic activist of Ijaw Nation, Pa Saturday Eregbene saddens our heart.

Pa Eregbene who was  one of the key factors for the formation of the IzanzanCamp was indeed a huge contributory factor of the intellectual tactics that sustained our fight against every form of injustice.

His death is a big blow to us that has gained a lot from him from far and near following his practical agitations against every form of injustice.

To us he paid an immeasurable price which cannot be quantified with any amount of cash or material things. He was very genuine in his patriotic operations geared  towards the growth of Bururu LGA and Ijaw Nation at large.

Despite the fact that he was relegated to the background by his own people for the fact that he is  wintry to injustice, he never relent standing for the Burutu people and of course the Ijaw Nation at large.

It is heart breaking that he never enjoy the dividends of those young men he taught, he encouraged and prayed for before departing to join the ancestors but we will not forget, we will always remember his antecedents and  surely as time unveils we will celebrate him.

Indeed if a genuine activist will go to heaven, we are very sure that Pa Saturday Eregbeme will go to heaven for being genuine and uncompromiseable.

Our sincerest condolences and sympathy to Sir Ebi Lagos Eregbene, Sir Peremene Eregbene and the entire family. May God gives you the fortitude to override yet this challenge and be rest assured that our prayers are always with  you all.

Signed for IzanzanCamp
