Jubilation As Civil Societies In Kano Celebrates CEPEJ Boss Mulade

A Niger Delta-born peace and environmental rights advocate, Comrade (Chief) Mulade Sheriff was recently hosted by the Kano State Civil Societies Forum, KCSF, when he paid a familiarization and working visit to Kano State.

Comrade Mulade who is the National Coordinator and CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, a notable non governmental organisation, NGO, said he was in Kano State to discuss critical national issues such as peaceful coexistence, security, as well as the need for Early Warning System in Kano State in the North West Region of Nigeria.

The CEPEJ Boss thanked  Kano State Civil Societies Forum for the warm reception, and promised to partner with the group in organizing a National Conference that would focus on peace building across borders.

On his part, Prisedent of the Kano Civil Societies Forum, Ibrahim Wayya thanked Comrade Sheriff Mulade for the visit and for his efforts towards peace building, environmental management, and in tackling insecurity in the country.

While promising that the KCSF would give maximum support and cooperation to CEPEJ’s activities in Kano State, Ibrahim Wayya told the CEPEJ Boss that the Forum partners with Kano State Government, the British Council, and educational institutions, as well as the Emirates of Kano, amongst other bodies. He stressed the need to train members of the KCSF to enable them benefit from Comrade Mulade Sheriff’s wealth of experiences in the stated intervention areas.

Highlights of the event were the presentation of copies of CEPEJ’s 2021 Newsletters and Calendars to the KCSF, as well as a group photograph of Comrade Mulade with the KCSF officials.
