Just In: Okowa Confirms Second Coronavirus Case In Delta As One Patient Dies – The Liberator

His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State has confirmed a second index case of coronavirus in the state with the passing away of one of the infected patient.
The Governor made the disclosure in his verified Twitter handle earlier this evening.
In his words:“I have just been informed of another case of #COVID19 in Delta State.
“The individual in question, had underlying health issues and had visited Lagos State in the past two weeks.
“The patient presented himself late to one of our hospitals with severe symptoms including difficulty in breathing and was given the necessary attention by healthcare professionals. Shortly after the specimen was taken, he passed away. However, his test results came back positive today.”
However, the Governor also hinted that concerned authorities will do contact tracing to avert rampant spread of the disease in the state.
Meanwhile, Deltans have expressed worry on the hidden identities of the said patients, their local governments and city of residence among other issues.
