Kou National President Mietuade Writes Diri, Okowa Over Deplorable State Of Things

Douye Diri to urgently tackle the multifaceted underdevelopmental challenges bedeviling the kingdom.President Mietuade, Kurofa and others in a group photographThe Kou Kingdom National Youth Council President had while lamenting on the gross abandonment of the kingdom by successive governments in both Delta and Bayelsa States particularly called on both Governors to quickly renovate all primary schools across the communities constituting Kou Kingdom. Mr. Mietuade Andrew made the call recently via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri after undertaking a tour to ascertain the scheme of things bedeviling Kou kingdom, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers. The President had particularly called on Governor Douye Diri to revive the dying secondary school in Kou Kingdom at Agge, adding that the school is the only secondary school in the Kingdom.He continued that the school is dilapidating and needs renovation, provision of desks as well as lack of teachers to impact knowledge to students, emphasising that without education, the future will be bleek for the growing youths of the area, adding that even the primary schools lacks teachers as well. Mietuade further revealed that the health centres in Orobiri and Agge communities are regrettably in a bad shape beging for renovation, stressing that beyond renovation the health centres needs more staffs, necessary equipments as well as electricity, adding that such things are needed for the reorganization of the health centres in order to meet the health needs of the people. Communities constituting Kou Kingdom in Bayelsa and Delta States include Azamabiri, Agge, Agge Palm Bush, Ogbeintu, Orobiri, Amazo, Solomon-Ama, Osimaibio, Agge Okibou, Okibou Zion, Kare Opre and Okia communities respectively.Expressing fear, President Mietuade Andrew has raised alarm on the gradual eroding of Azamabiri, Agge and Agge Palm Bush communities by the tidal waves caused by the ocean that is washing away the communities, appealing that Governor Diri should look into the matter to rescue the communities from going into extinction. However, in what has been described as a commendable feat by the people of Kou Kingdom, the Kou National Youth President had during the tour doled out scholarships to the best final year pupils in all the primary schools across the kingdom with two in Orobiri.On Orobiri community, Andrew also called on Government to provide portable drinkable water for the people as the only source of drinking water is unimaginable from a certain yellowish well.Meanwhile, Mietuade was accompanied by National President of Kou students Association, Mr Elisha Kurofa and so many others.Andrew had hinted The Liberator Newspapers that he will continue to address the underdevelopmental challenges bedeviling  Kou Kingdom until the needful is done to address the plight of the people. He particularly called on all those representing Kou Kingdom in their different political offices both as a commissioner, House of Representatives, House of Assembly, Senate and other offices to proactively deal with the issues raised.
