The 5th Mobile Parliament of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide have congratulated the President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Deacon (Comr ) Peter Timothy Igbifa on his Bayelsa State High Court Judgement of no victor no vanguished victory.

The congratulatory message was signed by the trio of Rt. Hon. Bob Collins Igetei (Speaker IYC 5th Mobile Parliament Worldwide), Rt. Hon. (Engr) Irene Kaladappa Jumbo (Deputy Speaker) and Comr. Prince Okenema (Clerk of the Parliament), a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide earlier today.

The trio had in the statement called on President Timothy Igbifa not to be deterred by the activities of others in council, stressing that he should never renege in his bid to carry everyone along.

Speaking further, the message had charged sons and daughters of Ijaw nation to always do their best in moving Ijaw nation forward even without occupying any position in council.

The statement reads below:

MESSAGE OF CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRESIDENT OF IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC) WORLD-WIDE DCN (COMR.) PETER TIMOTHY IGBIFA ON HIS VICTORY AT THE BAYELSA STATE HIGH COURT.

The leadership and the entire Parliamentarians of IYC 5TH Mobile Parliament congratulate and rejoice with the president of council Dcn. (Comr.) Peter Timothy Igbifa on his victory at Bayelsa State High court.

Congratulations to the President of Ijaw Youth Council; Dcn. (Comr) Peter Timothy Igbifa on his affirmation as the 8th President of Council on the no victor no vanquished victory of Ijaw nation in the Bayelsa State High court.

While we celebrate the winner and Ijaw youths elected president on his court victory, it gives us the 5th Mobile Parliamentarians the ample opportunity to appeal to Ijaw youths that we should look beyond our differences and come together to serve Ijaw nation in truth and Spirit with or without a position in the council.

As it is known that leadership is service and service is leadership, the responsibility to move our ethnic nationality forward is more imperative than answering the call of our nature to have differences.

We therefore urge Mr. President to consolidate on his victory by stretching the olive tree of Peace to all sons and daughters of Ijaw nation without any prejudice to any past event or even as a fall out of this court victory that is all ours to celebrate.

Once again congratulations Mr. President.

Signed:

Rt. Hon. Bob Collins Igetei (Speaker IYC 5th Mobile Parliament Worldwide).

Rt. Hon. (Engr) Irene Kaladappa Jumbo (Deputy Speaker).

Comr. Prince Okenema (Clerk of the Parliament)
