LG Polls: Opuama Councillor Elect Wilson Godwin Appreciates PDP, Leaders On His Victory
Councillor Elect, Opuama Ward in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Sir Wilson Godwin has appreciated political leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for finding him worthy to represent the ward in the legislative arm.
Beside appreciating the Lord Almighty, PDP family, Wilson Godwin had also appreciated some critical personalities from Opuama community for their sacrifices in ensuring that he emerges victorious, stressing that he is grateful to them.
The Opuama ward councillor elect issued the appreciation message to newsmen in Warri via a statement he personally signed, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers yesterday.
In his words: “I Hon. Wilson Godwin, Councillor Elect Opuama Ward 13, I want to appreciate Hon, ALHAJI O.E OMOKO, ( the Opuasisa 1 of Egbema kingdom), Hon. Spencer Okpoye, (SSA Governor Okowa), Chief David.S. Ugedi ( SA to the Governor) Hon Segun Ebiwei( OpuamaBloc president), Amb. Jude Ebitimi Ukori Jp+, Chief Portharcourt ( Ikulor Junior), Chief December Aweh, Chief Godfrey Korokoro, High Chief Johnbull Adaun( the Regent of Egbema kingdom), Hon.Benjamin Okpoye (Ward chairman), Hon. Felix Osainor, Hon. Ap Godday OMOKO, Chief Felix Adanse (As to the governor), Chief Steven Ayebo, Hon, Philemon Ayebo, General Dennis Tanga, the Elders of Opuama community, the women of Opuama community , the youths of Opuama community, Oloduwa descendants in diaspora, and every meaningful persons in Opuama community, and others too numerous to mention.”
However, Wilson had assured the people of Opuama that he will not dissapoint them for the confidence reposed on him, stressing that as a core grassroot man, he knows the pains of his people, adding that he will ensure that he contribute his quota no matter how little within his ambit as a councillor representing them.
Speaking further, Godwin noted that he is aware that the task to add more value to his people is an herculean one, maintaining that he will work closely with critical stakeholders in the polity to ensure that he leave behind legacies that will stand the test of time during his tenure as a councillor.
He continued that his victory is not just a victory for PDP but a victory for democracy and to the entire people of Opuama ward in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, promising that he will do his best for his people by working closely with the system, adding that the Lord Almighty remains ultimate.
