Niger Delta youth leader, Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore, popularly known as young Chief has described Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo as the bridge between ancient and modern Ijaw tradition and Culture, a living hero and the pride of  Niger Delta Region. The youth leader and Niger Delta human rights activist, heartily congratulates and felicitates with High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (TOMPOLO) The IBE- EBIDOUWEI of Ijaw Nation on his 50th  birth anniversary that took place April 12th, 2021.

Comr. Youkore Mamamu Bene who is an advocate of good governance wishes Tompolo a happy and glamorous birthday celebration, adding that he has always kept the flare of Ijaw tradition alive in Gbaramatu Kingdom and beyond, stressing that Niger Deltans are proud of him. 

Activist Mamamu acknowledged Tompolo as a strong force to reckon with in the history of Niger-Delta due to his selfless sacrifices, struggles and agitations for the emancipation and development of the region and its people.

He said Tompolo’s name and his agitations in the Niger-Delta have brought great infrastructural and human capital development to the region and will never be forgotten in the history of humanity, as his name has already been written in gold that can never be erased.  

He said Tompolo’s name would always be called alongside great men like late Isaac Adaka Boro and Ken Saro – Wiwa, as a living hero and the pride of Niger Delta Region.

Meanwhile, Youkore had commended Niger Deltans, Ijaws and Nigerians for the massive celebrations given to Tompolo at their various levels, adding that his appreciation goes to the various organizers of Tompolo’s 50th Birth Anniversary celebrations at different levels. 

Nevertheless, Mamamu Youkore Bene had called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to release Tompolo’s seized properties, maintaining that the rule of law must be respected against all odds.
