A founder member and leader of Meinbutu, Chief Ebis Moni has endorsed His Excellency, Barr (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State on his ambition to become the next Governor of Delta State come 2023.
The Niger Delta renowned former warlord made the endorsement yesterday via a state he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
According to him, he has searched and is convinced after following the deputy Governor’s track records and political pedigree over the years that if given the chance to become Governor of Delta State, Otuaro will no doubt perform to the admiration of all in the state.
He narrated that as a former member of Delta Waterways limited during Ibori’s tenure, he was also a member of the Delta Waterways Security Committee under Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan as Governor of the state, he had the privileged to have worked with some persons in the state.
Chief Ebis Moni continued that in those years both the Ibori’s Government and that of Uduaghan’s administrations in Delta State, he had the opportunity to have worked with the likes of the current Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Chief Boro Opudu, Hon. David Etonwei, Chief (Hon) Thomas Ereyitomi and others, stressing that the deputy Governor is purely a grassroot man that truly understands the pains of the people.
Speaking further, Ebis Moni particularly called on Ijaws and all Deltans to embrace Otuaro, stressing that Deltans will truly enjoy him if given the chance to govern the state.
However, the Meinbutu leader had appealed to delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State to cast their votes for Otuaro, vowing that they will never regret ever voting for him.
Nevertheless, Moni stated that His Excellency, the deputy Governor of Delta State has the intellectual, economic and political credentials to take Delta State to a higher and better level where every Deltans will be proud of.
