Mulade Charges Gbaramatu Youth Council To Work For Kingdom’s Advancement – The Liberator

The Ibe-sorimowei of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief comrade Sheriff Mulade has charged the newly elected Gbaramatu Youth Council, (GYC), executive to be focused, cooperate with one another, consult with the palace, chiefs, community chairmen, youth leaders and individuals for a purposeful and successful administration as well as keep Gbaramatu interest as top priority in promoting youth development in the Kingdom. 

Chief Mulade made the call while playing host to GYC in his Warri office on Thursday June 11, 2020 during a courtesy visit by the Gbaramatu Youth Council executives led by the president, Comrade Shedrack Onitsha Ebikeme.

 

Speaking at the occasion,  Chief Mulade congratulated Gbaramatu Youth Council, for a successful election and charged them not to be influenced by pride, but to be proactive and willing to make sacrifice if they want to succeed. He said, most youth presidents are carried away by sycophancy and pride when positions of authority are given to them, some focuses on how to acquire wealth and forget making sacrifices for youth development in the kingdom. 

Chief Mulade, who is the national coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, further advised them to be proactive and diligent in their approach to matters, to always listen to advice and suggestions from well-meaning individuals in the kingdom and not be carried away by deceptive reasoning of sycophants. He also said that, they should be proactive to youth matters, shun oppression, subversion of fundamental human rights, violence in the kingdom, and environmental pollution by companies operating in the Kingdom. They should manage crisis through non-violence approach and work with directives in conjunction with the Kingdom structure and authorities. 

He also encouraged them to initiate realistic programmes for youth development in Gbaramatu Kingdom and listen to advice from senior comrades, past presidents, leaders, elders and chiefs in Gbaramatu kingdom.

Pledging his support to the executive of GYC, he said, as an initiator and pioneer president of GYC his office is opened to them at all times and pledged to provide assistance and give them the required advice needed to pilot the affairs of GYC.

In his remark, Comrade Shedrack Onitsha Ebikeme president of GYC, appreciated and thanked Chief Mulade for accepting them in his office, pledged assistance to GYC and rendering advice and encouragement for a successful administration. GYC president and executive further promised to do the needful to achieve success for Gbaramatu Kingdom.
