NCCFID: Asupa refutes claims, says he remains committed to the development of his constituency

Senior legislative aide to the member representing Burutu 1 in the Delta State House of Assembly, Engr. Akpi Mike has cautioned members of Concerned Citizens for Izon-Ibe Development (CCIFID) to stop making unverifiable claims capable of causing disaffections between honourable members in the State House of Assembly.

Engr. Akpi stated this in the second edition of an open letter to the group which was also for the attention of the group’s national president, Comr. Oyinbi Onduku.
The senior legislative aide noted that the honorable members in the Delta State house of Assembly have great respect for each other and warned that the group should not create disaffection to smear the cordial relationship they all enjoy.
Engr. Akpi described as untrue, the statement credited to CCFID that Forteta and Pullah are not doing enough to attract government’s attention to develope Burutu .
Going down memory lane, Akpi said the days of Hon. Asupa as Commissioner both at the Directorate of Youth Development and Ministry of Urban Renewal witnessed many empowerment projects in addition to several infrastructural intervention in the entire Burutu local government.
He maintained that several youths of Burutu extraction benefitted from the STEP and YAGEP programmes of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and some of the said Youths are now masters and trainers in their trade.
Explaining further, He said while at the ministry of urban renewal Hon Foreta ensured that many roads in Burutu townships were giving facelift while many got totally reconstructed and rehabilitated including Obotobo 1, Obotobo 2, Sokebolou and Yokiri roads.
Others others are Oviri, Aloba, Egodor and Agbodobiri road project which he said is under rehabilitation by the ministry of works.
”Let me cast your mind back to Hon. Asupa Forteta days as honorable Commissioner both at the Directorate of Youth Development and Ministry of Urban Renewal respectively. Several Youths from the Burutu Extraction benefitted from the STEP and YAGEP programmes of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and some of the said Youths are now masters and trainers of their own.”
” While at the Ministry of Urban Renewal, he ensured that, the Burutu township roads were put into his Ministry’s budget, awarded and constructed. Not forgetting, the Obotobo 1, Obotobo 2, Sokebolou and Yokiri roads was budgeted for, awarded and rehabilitated through his Ministry which has long been commissioned.”
” He also, facilitated the Oviri, Aloba, Egodor and Agbodobiri road project which is on going under the Ministry of works. All projects are verifiable”
Engr. Aki warned the group to always verify information before going to the media to avoid fake information that can only mislead gullible members of the public
