The Ijaw Interest Advocates (IIA), otherwise known as the Izanzan Intellectual Camp has vowed not to relent in exposing more corrupt practices of the Minister of Niger Delta Ministry and supervisory minister of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The group made the call in a press statement issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, signed by its national coordinator, Amb Arerebo Salaco Yerinmene Snr, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

He however lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the extension of the Prof. Pondei led interim management committee of the NDDC.

The statement reads in full below:

Extension Of IMC Will Not Stop Us From Exposing More Of Akpobio’s Looting -IIA

The news of the extension of the Professor Pondei Kemebradikumo led Interim Management Committee of the Niger Development Committe by President Muhammadu Buhari is not discontenting but well gladdened.

As the arrow-head of the revelation of the massive looting by Minister Akapbio and his northern cronies via the Interim Management committee (IMC), we commend Mr. president decision even as we will continue to fight against Developmental injustice and marginalization meted out the on the Ijaw Nation by Akpabio and cohorts.

Even as we commend Mr. President for the extension of the IMC, we shall never for any reason relinquish for exposing the massive looting of Senator Akpabio.

Therefore we are through this press statement flaunting our preparedness to expose more of the Akpabio looting and plans to crumble the Niger Delta Development Commission.

We are still accenting that President Buhari should allow the IMC and forensic board to do their job independently without the involvement of the most corrupt minister of the federal republic of Nigeria. We are as well imploring Mr. President to allow the EFCC and ICPC to do their job.

The battle against injustice must continue despite who is involved and we are very optimistic of triumphing at the end.
