Niger Delta Ex miliant Task Force set up to tackle rising issues of oil Pipeline Vandalisation and crude oil theft in the Nine States of the region has disowned some self acclaimed groups agitating for the revocation of the surveillance contracts for the protection of the 87-kilometre Trans Forcados crude oil Pipeline (TFP) operated by Ocean Marine Solutions an indigenous contractor from Niger Delta (OMS) Owned by Chief Dr Captain Hosa Okunbor, A bonafide  Niger Delta indigenous oil contractor.

The Ex Militant group , known as the Anti-Pipeline Vandalization, Oil Theft and Illegal Bunkering Volunteers which is made up of Ex-militant groups in the creeks of Niger Delta, said the groups agitating for the revocation of the surveillance contract awarded to the Ocean Marine Solutions are fake and known.

The Leader of the Ex Militant task Force,  Gen. Fiawei Pathfinder popularly known as Gen Osama, in a statement issued to newsmen via electronic mail, after a well attended meeting by other nine Ex Militant leaders in the creek argued that the calls for the dissolution of the pipeline surveillance contracts is illegal, evil self centered tribal sentiment, suspicious and a ploy by the illegal oil bunkerers in the Forcados and Escravos  axis to have an  unhindered access to the nation crude oil.

According to the statement, “Nigerians and the security agencies should be aware that there has been a sustained  campaign against pipeline vandalization and illegal bunkering activities in the creeks of the Niger Delta which has led to sustained peace, security and increase in the nation’s crude  oil output due to the constant angagement of the host communities in the creek for the surveillance job.

“We, as ex militants, that accepted the Federal Government’s amnesty, condemn in totality, the unwarranted and purported allegations made by the self-acclaimed elements, calling for the termination of the crude oil pipeline surveillance contract awarded to an indigenous company,Ocean Marine Solutions owned by High Chief Captain Hosa Okunbor who is a bonafide indigene from the Niger Delta.

“We want to put on record that some of the groups of Oil thieves in a disguise  calling for the dissolution of the surveillance contract are not part and parcel of the Eleven cluster host communities recognized by the NNPC Trans Forcardos Pipeline run off way line operated by the Ocean Marine Solutions Company that is handling the TFP surveillance job. “

Therefore, We call on all groups and the coordinator of the self acclaimed Ijaw Peoples Developnent Initiative to stop the  unnecessary calls against Captain Hosa’ s OMS.

“We know they are not from the TFP or Ecravos and Egbema host communities and as such should stay clear from igniting insecurity, oil theft militancy violence or else we will be forced to declare them wanted as enemies to the existing relative peace being enjoyed in the creek.

“We also want to put it on record that it is untrue that captain Hosa Okunbor had in any way sidelined any of the host communities of their rights or deny them from the surveillance job slots in the creek and as a matter of fact it is on note that the surveillance job slots are all handled by the host communities in the creek at the grassroots and the surveillance jobs are been given to the host community youths who are from the various host communities that cut across Ijaws and the Itsekiris to the TFP/Escravos and the Bini river Egbema pipelines that are recognised by the NNPC map.

“The  Ex Militant Task Force group in the creek ,want to call on the general public, security agencies, the Presidency and the governor of delta state to disregard and countenance the purported cheap blackmail being cooked and doctored to dent the good image of High Chief Captain Hosa Okunbor the Chairman of Ocean Marine Solutions by the self acclaimed non existence and unrecognized groups been operated by these self centered persons , for clarification, Chief Captain Hosa Okunbor is a Niger Deltan and a bonafide  indigene from niger delta and an inlaw to the Olu Of Warri, the Olu;’ who is one of the host to the TFP-Escravos and the Egbema pipelines in the creek.

“And therefore we want to use this medium to call on the federal government, the Nigerian Navy, the Joint Taskforce and the various law enforcement agencies with the Gov of Delta state, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to disregard the above purported sponsord cheep blackmail and false allegations sponsored by these group of persons

“To this end, we want to state categorically that the so called sponsored mischievous cheep blackmails meted out on High Chief Captain Hosa Okunbor that he subleted the pipeline surveillance job slots to his Benin kinsmen and his political friends is false and a big lie cooked and doctord from the pit of hell and should not be taken serious and should be totally ignored and disregarded as a matter of fact, we warned that enough of this sponsord evil and michievious false allegations. More importantly, we charged the law enforcement agencies and the presidency to take note of all those threatening to unleash attacks on pipelines in the creeks with a view of holding them responsible if anything happens.” The group stated.
