Niger Deltans To Storm Ogulagha Kingdom In Delta As Agbonu Marks 15th Coronation Anniversary

In what has appeared to be one of the greatest events in Niger Delta, good spirited Niger Deltans will march in solidarity with the people of Oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State as the paramount ruler of the Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt), King Joseph I. Timiyan (JP), Torububor 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom will celebrate his 15th years on the throne. 

According to a circular obtained by The Liberator Newspapers from the traditional council of Chiefs in Ogulagha Kingdom on Tuesday noted that the Kingdom is fully set and well prepared to heavily celebrate the revered Niger Delta monarch of Ogulagha Kingdom as arrangements towards celebrating the King is on top gear.

The information regarding the 15th years coronation anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt), King Joseph I. Timiyan (JP), Torububor 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has been scheduled to hold on the 12th and 13th of November 2020. 

The Liberator Newspapers can report that the highly revered paramount ruler of Ogulagha Kingdom is the Chairman of Izon Traditional Rulers Forum, Delta State, a position he has used in defending the  sanctity of Ijaws in Nigeria and beyond. 

However, while preparation is on top gear towards hosting the royal event, the traditional ceremony will be taking place at the Ogulagha Kingdom traditional ruler’s palace, Obotobo town.

It would be recalled that while marking his 15th years coronation anniversary, King Agbonu will be using the occasion to confer chieftaincy titles to deserving sons and daughters of Ogulagha Kingdom and others that have distinguished themselves in their various endeavours over the years. 

The circular further noted that the two days events will be taking place at the Royal castle of King Torububor’s palace at Obotobo by 10Am daily. 

On entertainment, besides the anticipated many cultural activities that will be taking place during the ceremony, Ijaw music luminaries King Robert Ebizimor & His Izon Brothers dance band of Nigeria, Junior King Alfred Ezon-Ebi musical band, Best J. Fred Giant Stars Band  as well as Chief Barrister S. Smooth musical dance band (The paddle of Niger Delta) have all been arranged to do justice to entertain dignitaries throughout the anticipated high powered two days event. 

Nevertheless, there are indications already that political class, business tycoons, traditional rulers, rights activists, youth leaders, community leaders, women groups as well as well meaning Niger Deltans are warming up to grace the occasion.
