Nigerians Living In Hell At 61 — Activist Ozobo Roars, Gives Reasons

Niger Delta rights activist, and National president of Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI, Comrade (prince) Ozobo Austin has said that the federal and state governments, National Assembly, Judiciary, Business class ,Police, Army Navy and other security agencies have failed Nigerian citizens at the 61 independence anniversary.


Ozobo, while addressing a section of the media shortly after the Nigeria@61 Human Rights Sensitization Symposium organized by the Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights (CAHR), in collaboration with Value Rebirth and Empowerment Initiative (VREI) at Effurun,Warri Delta State on Friday October 1, said president Buhari is ruling Nigeria as mono-ethnic nation, and had finally made himself a president of the Federal Republic of the Northern Nigeria. 


The activist said it was unfortunate that Buhari was celebrating and promoting Fulani’s killing of innocent citizens in the country, adding that Nigerian citizens were living in fear and confusion under Buhari’s administration.


The Ijaw opinion leader, added that the police, army, Navy and other sister security agencies in the country had turned a nightmare to Nigerian citizens, noting that police and army  brutalities, unlawful arrests and detentions against Nigerian citizens were on their increase.

The president of IPDI, asserted that Nigerian citizens are in hell, coupling with police and military brutalities and banditry daily killings and terror.

He further noted that the National Assembly is lopsided and had been turned into instrument of destruction in the hands of Buhari and cabals of Northern Nigeria.
The rights activist, said National Assembly now promoting Islamic and Northern agenda by making laws which continually promote Islam, Fulani and Northern Nigeria above other religions, regions and ethnic nationalities in the country.

He also lambasted Nigerian State governors who were not interested in the general development of their various states but interested in promoting ethnic agenda and self-aggrandizement leaving the poor masses and the unprivileged ethnic nationalities in a situation of oblivion.

He cautioned Nigerian governors to stop stealing from local government area allocations which were supposed to be used to develop local Communities.

The IPDI leader, opined that Nigerian Judiciary no longer has the hope of the common citizens. It is being cajoled to serve the government interest and the political class, adding that the recent VAT ruling by the various Nigeria courts showed that the judiciary now served only government interest.

He also accused the business class of extorting poor Nigerian citizens in the name of business, stressing that the clamor for excessive profit making by business men and women in the country has made price of commodity to increase unreasonably.
