Gbekebor community in Ogbolubiri Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State will shake tomorrow as late Pa Oyakongha Ekereke journey’s home for eternal rest.
This was contained in an information announcing the burial arrangement, signed by the duo of Mr. Wiki Lafa and Mr. Pius Oyakonghan on behalf of the family and children.

The duo had noted that all arrangements have been concluded by the family to host as many as possible guests that will be storming the funeral of their father, stressing that it is going to be a celebration galore.

According to them, a high ranking Ijaw musician, Chief Pereama Freewtown, popularly known as the grand master will be thrilling audience till dawn.

It would be recalled that late Pa Oyakongha Ekereke hails from Gbekebor, Ayakoromo and Ekorogbene communities in Ogbolubiri and Ngbilebiri kingdoms, all in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Late Pa. Oyakonghan Ekereke journeyed to the world beyond in 2019 after a brief illness, he was until his death aged 103 and was survived by 5 wives, 35 children, 141 grand children, 91 great grand children, 8 great great grand children and many wives.

According to the burial arrangement, Friday 28th February, 2020, body leaves Ame Specialist Clinic Mortuary Warri by 12:pm through Miller waterfront to Gbekebor Community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State for social wake keeping till dawn.

It further noted that, Saturday 29th February, 2020, by 8:am, the remains of Pa. Oyakonghan departs Gbekebor to Ekoro Community Ekorogbene for interment/final lay to rest.

Meanwhile, the family of Oyakongha had invited members of the general public to grace the burial ceremony of their father in bidding him farewell to the world beyond.
