By Binebai Princewill

Worried by the level of educational lapses bedeviling riverine communities in Delta State, a renowned Kingdom based student union body operating under the aegis of National Union of Obotebe Students (NUO) in Burutu Local Government Area, the leadership has on Wednesday embarked on a sensitization campaign around schools in the kingdom.

Addressing the press after the sensitization campaign, president, National Union of Obotebe Students (NUOS), Comr. Yeinanagbegha James Tare, had maintained that she is grateful and indebted to all those that put resources together for the realisation of the project. President Tare asserted that she is thankful to the Lord Almighty for adding value to the society, stressing that NUOS under her command will continue to spread the banner of education across all nook and cranny of Obotebe Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. According to Comr. Tare James, she stated that the theme of the programme was “Education the greatest weapon to change the world”.

Meanwhile some of the items distributed to the students include Notebooks and other writing materials.

A statement released by President Yeinanagbegha James Tare reads below:

I whole heartedly thank everyone who supported me in different ways for the success of the Educative program I held as the President National Union of Obotebe students in my kingdom which is tagged: “Education the greatest weapon to change the world”.

I wouldn’t have done it better without your supports. As we have done in our little ways to educate the creek child, I believe they will all see Education as an important part of their lives. There will be definitely changes because the value you guys put out today is packed with wisdom.

I pray we always work in Unity and have the needed resources to educate the creek child, so they won’t experience the difficulties we experienced.

I was glad I was able to cover most of the communities  under our beloved kingdom
Opuapale community, Labolouseigha community, Biliazigha community and Ogbogbene Community.

I believe those communities will see Education as an impact, And also in different ways
